Another baby, but this time. . .

(sorry, this is not our baby) So, we had our ultrasound, or should I say, I got jelly gooped on my belly and jabbed in the bladder after drinking 40 oz of water in about 20 minutes so that we could find out we're having. . . a boy. It was very obvious. Eric would like to say that it was overly obvious, but the baby's the size of an avocado which means his pee pee is the size of, well, an avocado's pee pee. Our first boy, probably our last child. Mommy and Daddy are excited and already arguing about names, but one will come around, I know it. And Grace is looking forward to her "liddow brudder" as well.

It's been awhile

I never thought I would be one of those mom's that has "too much to do" even though they don't work. Guess what?! I'm her. Seriously, what is it that takes up my time? Grace is two now and she can generally entertain herself, especially now that we have a dog. So a few moments of crowd control through the day and what else can I be doing? I swear. The day gets wrapped up somewhere in space and I have no control over it.

Babies

So I had my first "real" doctor's appt. yesterday and it's a whole lotta fun. Not really, but I did get to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time, 150. The midwife said my uterus was the size of a small cantaloupe. I think that sounds big, anyone? It really makes you come to grips with reality. I'm having another baby. Your mindset changes. Your thinking changes and you start to think of things to do that you hadn't thought about ever, or at least for the last two years. It's going to be fun. A new baby is always fun. I can't wait to see his or her eyes and whole they will look like. It really is the most amazing thing ever. So ... who's next?

Go Blue...Wear Maize!

So, this is what I came upon this afternoon in my medicine cabinet, I thought it rather funny seeing as on Sunday on our way to church my hubby informed me he had forgotten to brush his teeth. Well, the season is upon us and to tell you the truth, I'm a little excited. I'm done with Summer, of course I was done about three months ago, but that's just me. I love fall. The cool weather and leaves on the ground. Sweaters and jeans and even, yes even the occasional football game. I may have been married too long. It's gonna be a great season.

Jack, of the Johnson's

What a great voice this man has. Now, if you didn't know, he sings on the soundtrack to Curious George which I watch about 4 times minimum a day. I love the songs. Catchy, fun, happy songs. I love that curious little monkey. You should try it. He might show you things you forgot you liked.

Lucy...

What a dog, that darn dog. So, she's the cutest dog I could have gotten for free, but you know what? I may have wanted one that was a little more trainable. All I hear is how hard it is to train Labs. She has made herself at home, and when I say that I mean that she has made our home her toilet. Lovely to go downstairs and wonder if Grace had taken her diaper off down there and left it to rot...no, just Lucy. I love her after Grace goes to bed. She's snugly and worn out from the day. I really do love lucy .
